Anne Minto is a non-executive director on the Boards of Shire plc (where she is also Chair of the Remuneration Committee), Tate and Lyle plc and Exlservices Inc .
She is also a Trustee of the University of Aberdeen Development Fund. Until her retirement in July 2011 Anne was Group Human Resources Director at Centrica plc and sat on the Centrica Executive Committee. She was chair of the Centrica Pension Scheme Board for 8 years .
She brings to the Boards that she sits on her extensive legal, commercial and remuneration experience.
Following her law degree at the University of Aberdeen and post graduate diploma in Human Resources she qualified as a lawyer. Anne has had an extensive business career which includes senior management roles at Shell UK, as well as experience as the Deputy Director General of the Engineering Employers Federation and as Group Director Human Resources at Smiths group plc.
Anne has been a non-executive director on the Boards of Northumbrian Water plc and SITA UK . She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, The Royal Society of Arts and the London City and Guilds and a member of the Law Society of Scotland.
She is patron of the University of Aberdeen Alumni Fund.
She was awarded an OBE in 2003 for her services to the engineering industry.
